Marcel Breuer
The Isokon Dining Table is both extremely light for its size yet strong and durable. It can be easily moved single-handed. The table is considered a Modernist classic by Breuer, a standard for plywood use in everyday furniture design.
The Dining Table was originally used in The Isobar Restaurant and Club where it was paired with the Isokon Stool. Today the Isokon Dining Table can be considered an archetypal design ready to be successfully paired with any style of dining seat. It is also frequently employed as a desk.
Designed in 1936.
