The Shell Dining Table is another product emerging from Barber & Osgerby’s experimentation with folded sheet material. The table pays subtle homage to Marcel Breuer’s 1936 Dining Table, a classic design in the Isokon catalogue. However, it creates a more exaggerated profile which emphasises the design’s lack of mechanical fixings.

Despite its exceptional strength, the plywood top is also flexible, creating a particularly stable table. A moulded, laminated top and folded leg make up this lightweight, stylish piece of furniture.
